CSAT: Computer Science Aptitude Test

Who needs to take it?

The CSAT is required for entry to Computer Science at Lucy Cavendish, Peterhouse, Selwyn and Trinity Colleges, Cambridge.

The relevant college will invite you to take the test if needed. You do not need to take it in advance of applying.

It should be taken in addition to the TMUA.

Key dates

The date for 2027 entry has not yet been announced, but typically it takes place in December.

Format

It is organised by Climb, a non-profit spin-out from the University of Cambridge, and is administered online by Mercer-Mettl.

The test consists of two parts and candidates can choose which questions from each part to answer.

Results

Results will be made available to the college you have applied to.

Cost

There is no cost.
